What is it about?
In this serious (but light-hearted) game, the player controls Titi, an adorable monkey on his first day as an archeologist on the newly discovered Archeo Island: a small archipelago brimming with ancient artifacts!
As they explore, dig and clean up artifacts, the player will get closer and closer to the truth behind the disappearance of the species that preceded them: the Humans.

Early Game Design concepts and realisation
Gameplay Concepts
-
Conceptualize various gameplay elements that could be implemented, and create flowcharts to explain them
-
Make sure those concepts fit in the game world (exploring a dig-site in a light hearted universe)
-
Add to the core gameplay mechanics of exploring and discovering
-
Give the player a sense of progression by adding new equipment to their ingame toolkit
The Drill
-
With the drill equipped, the player can pierce through specific stone walls and discover new areas.
-
Some of these walls are visible prior to obtaining the drill, teasing an upcoming area or hinting at a secret zone or artefact.
The Flashlight
-
With the flashlight, the player have a easier time exploring dark areas.
-
Used in the clothing store, the darkest area in the game.
-
To assist learning the layout, the player will progressively place lightsticks on the ground to light up areas already explored.

Level art and environment
Level Art and Environment
-
Assist with the art of levels by making a collection of assets that fit the specific theme of the levels (a grocery store, a clothing store, etc...)
-
Make sure the polycount remains efficient as the player camera can never get too close to geometry
-
Follow a specific workflow for the textures to make them fit inside the game world across the entire game
-
The artstyle needs to stay consistent despite the different 3D artists working on the levels
